ANDI is a machine that generates a random rhythm at the push of a button. Each beat is unique and can be tweaked with five knobs.
With five rotary knobs you can tweak the rhythm. By pushing down on the big knob you generate a new beat.
Connect ANDI to amplified speakers with a 3.5mm cable on the backside of the unit. ANDI runs of a normal 9V battery that is inserted in the bottom.
Beats generated with an ANDI connected to an amplifier recorded with a Focusrite 2i4 in Ableton Live 9. Mixed with an EQ and a limiter.
ANDI was created by me, Ola, in a university project with the goal to inspire musicians. I study Mechanical Engineering with Industrial Design at LTH in Lund, Sweden.
The project is open source and the code can be downloaded for free here.
